On the road again

Whee, another ‘from the car’ entry. I just saw the space shuttle launch, it was fun. If I look out the back window I can still see the smoke.

Right before that, I woke up from some wierd dream. I fell asleep listening to my MP3 player, and in my dream, I had my MP3 player, but the music wasn’t coming from it…Wierd.

I went to Epcot last friday. This time my other sibling got sick. We got there, went to the “universe of energy” thing (surprisingly, not a geek ride). Then we went through “Imagineers”, had lunch, and went to the Living Sea. My brother was amused by the “Turtle Talk with Crush” thing. It was fun. Spaceship Earth: You’d think that if they’ve had this thing for years, why would they still have technical difficulties. Well they did. When I was at the very top. Facing backwards. It was only like 10 minutes, though, so nothing big. Then came the countries. No rides there. Just walking around in the hot air. I got a MegaMan t-shirt from the Japan part, and we ate dinner in the U.S.A. we didn’t stay for fireworks.

Wow. I have a temperature monitor on my laptop, and I started it up at 97º F, and it rose to 104º F just typing this entry. Woo. Nothing’s wrong unless it’s higher than 122º F (55º C). Now it’s 106. Those are HDD temperatures, my CPU has stayed at 100º F the whole time. I’ll end now so I don’t keep typing the temperature. 108º F. Sorry.

Update later on: It says 120º F, but I just got out of standby. Now it’s 100º F. Yeah, my real reason for updating was to say how randomly polite McDonalds is. I opened the box of my Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and on the top of the box is says, “Enjoy your Crispy Premium Chicken Sandwich” which was kinda random. 102º F. Sorry. That’s all.

Water. Lots of it.

Then again, I went to Typhoon Lagoon. And it was fun. The only bad part was the hot ground and the sunburn (The latter I still have 2 days later)

So we went there. Sam and I went in the wave pool for 5 min. Then we went around that big river thing. Then we got in line for the family raft. Except Sam was sick. So we went and ate. Then we went in a single person raft ride. Then the family one. Then the wave pool. Then water slides. Then more wave pool/big river thing. Then shopping/ice cream/home.

Fun. Except my 2 week vacation was condensed into 5 days. Meaning I have a week left to do absolutely nothing. And Sam went home today, so blah.

One thing I love is that I can sit here being bored when I have at least 10 things I could and should be working on. I guess I should to run off and do them. A.K.A. sit here still being bored.

Universal

Ya’know, Universal’s logo is an earth, kinda wierd considering they’re Universal

Guess where I went on Wednesday? Universal Islands of Adventure. IT WAS FUN.

First thing we did when we got there (we being me, my sister, and two of her friends) was go on the Hulk. Very fun roller coaster. By then it was Lunch time. After fooding we went on the Jurassic Park Ride. Pretty fun, and wet. Then came the dueling dragons. Or one of them. The ice one. After ice my sister and 1 of the two other people went back on the other one. After they finished we went to Poseidon’s (no clue about spelling there) Fury. Walk-through show thing, kinda fun. Then came the other Dueling Dragon. Fire. Much better than Ice, if you go to IoA, do Fire, if not both. We then started walking and it began to rain, so we headed towards one of two indoor rides: Dr. Seuss. Fun part here: My sister slipped and fell. Note to others: Flip flops + wet ground = slippery. The ride was not as “calm” as I remember, a lot of spinning. By then it was raining even more as well as thundering. Luckily the ride dumps you out in a shop, which we sat in to decide what to do. We bought panchos and ran towards the other indoor ride: Spider Man. Very fun as well, but roller coasters won. Sam’s two friend’s and their family left afterwards. We went and ate, then got Express Passes for the Hulk again. Next came shopping. Joy. Finally came the Express Pass’s time, and we went on the Hulk for a second time. Even more fun in the dark. Then ice cream and home.

Tomorrow is another fun day: Typhoon Lagoon.

On teh Road

Yeah, I’m on my way to Floor a duh for three weeks, typing this entry in the car. Tonight I’ll be in SC, and tomorrow we’ll make it to Florida. Yesterday we started driving. I just love my car adapter for my laptop, it owns that much.

Speaking of ownage, my sister made a really good layout for my site. And thus v10.0 - vortex has been born. Colors are green, black, and dark gray.

In the car I’ve been doing random stuff to pass time. For example, I tried cleaning up a bit. I also set up a test server so I can work on stuff for iRO. I have a lot of graphics to make into items, there’ll be a big GRF rerelase soon. New items include a new headgear, some new armors, shields, and boots, as well as random foodstuffs. And of course the usual bug fixes/map updates.

Tip for people with laptops: Don’t try to graphic without a mouse in PSP. It just doesn’t work with a touchpad. Or it does, but it’s annoying. Tee Jay, out.
